It took us more than sixty years to identify the single vineyards that produce the grapes we need, to vinify these truly magnificent single vineyard examples of Cape varietal wines.

Cellar Reserve
Chardonnay
A very attractive golden-green colour complements prominent citrus flavours of this well balanced full-bodied wine. The wood component shows in the background and combines well with the fruit flavours. Further complexity is derived from the barrel ferment and lengthened exposure to fine lees. The palate is full and rounded, yet still elegant and finishing with a long vanilla aftertaste.

Merlot
A full bodied wine with firm, yet soft tannins. An impressive core of rich and ripe fruit is complemented by soft oak flavours. Chocolate & violets hints add further interest. The intense red colour invites you to smell the concentrated flavour. As with all our single vineyard wines, it is ultimately defined by its length, allowing for a lingering aftertaste that will stay long after the last sip.

Pinotage
An expressive wine with ripe fruit favours, showing the quintessential earthy varietal character most sought after by all producers of note. Attractive savoury undertones are in perfect harmony with the smooth oak tannins. As with all our single vineyard wines, it is ultimately defined by its long length, allowing for a lingering aftertaste that will stay long after the last sip. Unfiltered and naturally fermented.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Typical blackcurrant and plum flavours complement the well- integrated oak tannins. The wine is full bodied and manages to balance fruitful exuberance with elegance and complexity. It expresses undertones of cigar box flavours with a hint of mint. The tannins are firm enough to allow for further ageing, yet soft enough for immediate enjoyment. As with all our single vineyards wines, it is ultimately defined by its length, allowing for a lingering aftertaste that will stay long after the last sip.

Cellar Reserve
Shiraz
This wine has an intense purple-red colour and is in the full-bodied style. Spicy, smoky flavours predominate, but an interesting bouquet of floral aromas is also noticeable. The vanilla sweetness of the American oak complements the inherent spiciness of the wine in a well-integrated way. The tannins are firm enough to allow for further ageing, yet soft enough for immediate enjoyment. As with all our single vineyard wines, it is ultimately defined by its long length, allowing for a lingering aftertaste that will stay long after the last sip. Unfiltered and naturally fermented.
